History

Founded by Al Brooks and Maxine Munt, the Changing Scene, Denver, CO operated as a theatre for 32 years bringing theatre, dance, art, music, and so much more to the Denver theatre community. There is hope among the current board members that performances will resume in the future.

The Changing Scene Northwest is Non-Profit theatre in Kitsap County, WA, but is adopting the essence of the philosophy of the Changing Scene Theatre in Denver, CO.  Al and Maxine's philosophy, and our mission:

"Insomuch as possible, to show only new, original, unproduced, or innovative works."

"Provide an atmosphere in which there is an intermingling and exchange of ideas and  talents among artists."

"Provide a vehicle for the advancement of area artists, culture, education, and exposure of the arts throughout the area."
